CNY 2009


You know it's new year when...




1) the week before CNY the family seats down for a lunch on a weekday...



we went to Lawrys Prime Ribs at Paragon... lets just say with such a hefty price tag for this 250g steak, it was definitely DELICIOUS...



2)Grocery shopping at Giant



Pacific Clams - Check
Sweet Drinks - Check
Button Mushroom - Check
Lak Chiong - Check
mummy insistence on getting a new cabinet - check



3)Going Shopping for New Year Clothes









this year the theme is Cheong Sam! so me and smelly went around looking for it. i finally found one at Suntec and bought the 1st Yellowish blouse cheong sam as well as the white version of the blue one from that shop. AND TO MY HORROR, i found so many shops in far east selling cheong sam... ouch to my wallet. :( in the end while shopping with my mother, i got the black halter neck cheong sam blouse as well.. whahahaha THANK YOU MUMMY! (:

i love Chinese New Year.

im proud of my heritage.

and even though everyday i play battle of tolerance with the chinese new year goodies,

but i still love the festival.

it's when family really matters.
