Year We Go (aww, great I broke my resolution already, I promised myself 2004 would be pun-free)
So after much planning and waiting, tonight was New Years. We all met up at the Eaton's Centre and walked on Yonge to find food. I wanted $1.69 Whoppers but Burger King was closed. We ended up going to McDonalds, I had a Big Extra, very tasty.

Afterwards we walked over to Nathan Phillips Square, found a place to stand, and watched Much Music Retro videos for an hour. They played "Paradise by the Dashboard light", the video rocks.
It was I guess, like opera.

There was some t-shirt gun shooting by Rick the Temp, and various performers which weren't that interesting. The Salads came on eventually and that was fun. I got a couple good pictures and got to test out my camera's capabilities. The video clip feature is actually pretty neat for concerts.

I guess it was kind of cold out, but I didn't really mind because I had Kate there to hold. It made the nutsy rest of the crowd and Shawn's complaining seem almost tolerable.

David Miller made an appearance shortly before midnight and that was exciting, he seems like a great guy.

The countdown came fairly standardly, there was a big cheer, and it was 2004, I gave Kate a kiss and that is a wonderful way to start a year, I'm always going to remember it.

Sean Cullen and the other guy from the Producers came on and sang the New Years song, and David Miller stayed on stage and sang along, which was neat.

We all met back up, conducted ourselves eastward, and quickly the night was unfortunately over.
The people beside us were smoking pot, and I still smell like it.

This year holds all kinds of promise, I'm in Toronto, I have an awesome apartment, I'm going to a school that I can't wait to go to every morning, I have good friends, and most of all not only do I have someone that I really care about, she cares about me.

I guess, my real resolution for this year, is to take advantage of everything this city has to offer. I already made that promise to Kate, I never want us to be the kind of people who go see a movie at the Cineplex every weekend. If I wanted to do that, I could have stayed in Deseronto.

Happy New Years everyone, make this the year where you'll never look back on it and wish you hadn't passed up any opportunities to expand your fabric of experiences. Because experiences lead to experience, and experience leads to wisdom, and a greater understanding of everything. Whether or not you go to that book reading or rally or ethnic dinner you got invited to might not seem that important right now, but every little adventure, adds a patch to much bigger quilt, and once you've seen enough, the world will start to make a whole lot more sense.
