Sitting on the Baby
I am at my aunt's house in West Chester, babysitting her toddler, Matthew. He is so freakin cute. We played outside with a bucket of water and a squirt bottle for like an hour and it was actually FUN. Then we played with bubbles and ate some vegetarian chicken patties. He also had some refried beans, because he is strange. We also colored a lot and watched some Elmo, and I am having a nice, fun, relaxing night. Yay.
So me and my friend Eliza drove to Delaware to go to a thrift store in Milsboro. It was more than a two hour drive, I think. We just randomly decided to go the night before. I definitely needed a random road trip, though. Delaware is crazy. After we were done at the thrift store, we drove over to Rehoboth to walk around and eat. It was good times, good times.
I got a fax at work from one of our clients the other day. It said "Attn: Christina" on the cover sheet. This made me feel important.
The boy I'm babysitting, Matthew, was adopted by my aunt and uncle, and he is originally from Russia. I was looking at him earlier, and this great house he lives in, and thinking about how cool and smart he is, and how great his family is, and it makes me wonder what his life would have been like if they hadn't adopted him. I wonder how long he would have been in the orphanage. I don't know, it's just crazy to think about. It really doesn't matter, he's definitely one of us now.
Anyway, that is all. The end. I am tired.
