School Some More (What Can I Say? It Rules Me Life.. Oh, what life?)
Oh my gosh! I spent three point six hours in anatomy lab today looking at the appendicular skeleton of animals (from cartilaginous fish to humans) and I'm worried.
I know what all the bones are and stuff, but I'm not sure I can still tell which ones are left or right anymore. Femurs, tibias, and humeruses are easy. But I'm really not sure about the orientation of the ulna and radiuses in the forearm. And it's just not very easy. I think, I've got the ulna thing down though. The little pointy thingy points towards the thumb. Now if only I can remember what the pointy thingy is called.... I've got it in my notes somewheres...
BTW, it's very odd that playing with dead cat, dog, monkey, human, horse, cow, and deer bones doesn't freak me out. If anything, I feel a bit guilty when I face my kitty at the end of the day after seeing their skeletons hung up on platforms. But it's also cool, b/c now I have a better idea of what they look like from the inside. Neato. Me likees.
Embryology I think is going to continue to be amazingly interesting and I believe I've already mentioned that I love parasitology (where else do you get to look at such interestingly disgusting stuff??). Anyway, if only Physics were better (but I'm not complaining b/c for now, I know what's going on. Wait, does that mean I learned something in AP Physics....? Naw, couldn't be. JK
Love you all. TL
