10 Million Miles Opened 14 Jun 2007 at Atlantic Theater 346 West 20th Street Photo by Monique Carboni ![]() Irene Molloy and Matthew Morrison Book by: Keith Bunin Music & lyrics by: Patty Griffin Directed by: Michael Mayer Cast: Irene Molloy, Matthew Morrison, Skipp Sudduth and Mare Winningham. Synopsis: Follows the story of Duane and Molly's road trip in a beat-up Chevy pick-up truck from the southern tip of Florida to the northwest corner of New York, with plenty of unexpected detours along the way. Despite the mediocre reviews, I actually enjoyed it. Well, I'd say I enjoyed it all minus the almost predictable storyline! The actors were very controlled in the fast-moving storyline; jumping from song to song, full of emotion and physical action, all without overacting! I was impressed by their acting skills as well as their harmonies sung over the excellent musical compositions. In agreeance with some of the critics, I don't think the play was long enough to provide more depth for the characters in the storyline. However, the storyline was written well enough to keep the audience from yawning, [even being shorter than a modern day box-office film.] Noteworthy performance by Mare Winningham, who played all the extra female characters with such believeable accuracy!
