Relieve your feet from the 'marathon' fatigue Travel Guides, Travel Tips
Sukho Thai’ foot massage for the Mumbai marathon participants.

With the marathon fever all over the city, most runners are busy gearing up for the run with adequate training like regular running practice, right diet, adequate hydration, perfect footwear etc. but the most important part is the fatigue. Though training and warm‐ up help, the stress on the feet due to long distance running causes muscles stiffness, soreness and fatigue that require proper attention. Apart from the feet, the back and neck also experience ‘shock’ and tend to get stiff and sore.

Sukho Thai’s Hot Herbal Bun Massage is a perfect therapy for runners as it sooths and refreshes these fatigued muscles of the feet & back and de‐stresses the body. The therapy lasts for a total of 75 mins where the first 45 mins are dedicated to complete foot massage with hot herb buns and oils followed by 15 mins of the back and the shoulder massage.

The steam heated herbal bun – a round cotton bundle called prakop in Thai, combines a blend of 23 aromatic and therapeutic herbs like lemongrass, turmeric, prai ginger, kaffir lime etc. and has an invigorating effect to stimulate the senses and soothe the aching muscles.

Speaking on the subject, Mr. SHailesh Patil said, ‘We at Sukho Thai offer the traditional and scientific therapies that have been practised in Thailand for centuries with proven benefits. With the therapy for runners, we want to highlight the benefits of these foot massage therapies and want people to understand and use them as a part of a wellness routine and not a luxury concept.’
