    Carindale
Carindale, one of Brisbane’s suburbs is a relatively new area that lies approximately 11 km south-east from the city of Brisbane. According to the 2006 census, its population was then over 15,000 but the suburb is steadily growing. Although the suburb was originally part of Belmont, its name was changed to Carindale in 1980. It was named after a daughter of the Thorne family, early landowners who had settled there. Some of Carindale’s neighbouring suburbs are Carina, Belmont and Mansfield.
The majority of homes in Carindale are generally classed as upmarket properties. Property management Brisbane indicates that many apartments are also a part of the residential scene in this popular area. Homes are attracting middle to high income groups as many young professionals are settling in this suburb.
Families with school-going children have a variety of schools from which to choose. Belmont Primary School is a popular choice as it is situated within Carindale. There are also several schools that cater for pre-primary schoolchildren. Being close to Brisbane, there is easy access to several private or state high schools and universities.
Carindale is popular for its large shopping centre, namely, Westfield Carindale. It is one of Brisbane’s largest shopping complexes. Its tenants are several big name stores such as Woolworths, David Jones and Big W. At the same time, there are over 250 speciality outlets for the shopaholics. There are also eight cinemas for movie lovers. The shopping centre also provides ample parking areas for shoppers.
Residents and visitors will be spoilt for choice when eating out. Restaurants and coffee bars cater for all tastes and nationalities. From Italian to Thai, these eating places are both indoors and al-fresco.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the many parks and walking paths in Bulimba Creek Valley, which is famous for its flora, fauna and rock formations. This area is also steeped in aboriginal history. Visitors can attend lectures regarding the historical richness of this magnificent natural environment. Other outdoor attractions are the Belmont Hills Reserve and the Carindale Recreational Reserve.
It is not surprising that visitors come to settle in this beautiful area. Those who are interested in renting a home can do so via a Property manager Brisbane. Several apartment buildings cater for short— or long-term visitors.
House prices vary, with the average sale price being approximately $550,000. Townhouse and apartment rentals start from $350 per week. However, it all depends on the type of home and the number of bedrooms required. Property management Carindale can provide details of current trends.
Visitors to Brisbane who take a short trip to Carindale will be pleasantly surprised at the facilities that this suburb offers.
