Seasons greetings and a blessed Christmas! On the trip up to Alor Setar where I am now, on slow slow dial-up mind you, I had the opportunity to test out my map of Peninsular Malaysia callibrated for Pathaway Screenshot: ![]() I found that the callibration was pretty good and the track matched most of the highway except for a stretch in Northern Perak (perhaps the highway moved? haha) Anyway the great thing is one can easily add point locations to the map and route by pressing on the Address button. I managed to capture the locations of all the PLUS rest-stops from KL-AS. You can view your tracks like the screenshot above and replay the trip too. Well is it really useful if you already know the way? Well I think so. You can see various displays like the Route display which tells you the distance to the next point in your route, the estimated time to arrival of your destination and the distance to your destination. Still waiting for doc_tamil's Mapopolis map of Peninsular Malaysia but until that comes to fruition, I think Pathaway is pretty neat! You can use practically any map you download or scan on your own. Downside is the maps are large - a couple of MB or so but thankfully you can store it on SD. And with a 1GB SD card that's no problem nowadays! :) Post a comment in response: |
