Online stock prices
It was a sad day when Bursa Malaysia decided to squeeze every sen from investors by charging for online stock quotes. This resulted in Yahoo finance no longer listing the delayed KLSE share prices. This in turn meant that Stock Manager no longer works for the Malaysian bourse. This really p*sses me off. I mean how cheap can you get? Anyway I was scouring around for another way to get share prices online (via GPRS usually when I am mobile) on my Tungsten T3. Well, fortunately Digi has a Java applet called Stock Watch. This was designed for Java capable phones. I use an SE t610 and I don't know if it can load the applet (the phone is not on the list of supported models in the Digi website) but I do have IBM Java installed on my T3 so I decided to give it a shot. I am pleased to say that the Stockwatch applet ( located at h**p://202.187.241.248/stockwatch.jad ) loads fine on my T3. You run the MIDlet HQ app , hit Install then enter the URL to the .jad file - that's it!
At the moment I have two applets installed:

Well I'll miss the ability of Stock Maanager to export to CSV and using Excel macros, easy import into Quicken. But at least there is an easy way to view your portfolio online now with your PDA.
