Recently I had a new room-mate move in. When he moved in, he decided to order cable (digital cable to be more specific). I have not had cable in my place of residence in over three years. A fact I have been rather proud of. You see I'm a "doer" not a voyeur so naturally I was indifferent. Yesterday however I found a channel while b.s'n with a friend over a beer. It was the Independant film channel. And they were playing a John Torturo movie. I am a bit of a fan of John Torturo so I aptly watched. The very next show that came on was yet another John Torturo movie. I was geeked. Now I have gone about and reviewed the schedule for the channel and I found that they could easily get away with renaming the station the "John Torturo Network". This isn't a bad thing for I can't think of a single movie with John Torturo that I have disliked. Anyways I guess cable isn't as horrible as I once thought. Between the IFC(JTN), Discovery,History, channels and comedy central there are actually more than three hours of decent programming a month on the television.
