home, home on the range...
so i'm home from north dakota. what a trip. it really feels like another world there, most of you wouldn't believe it. driving down the interstate, you can see for miles on either side; fields and fields of sunflowers, wheat, bails of hay, heards of cows, buffalo... jeez. but i did manage to take some really cool pictures and spend quality time with my mom. we visited my mom's family, and yes, some of them are farmers and live on a farm in the middle of nowhere. but it's all good. i'm kind of upset that i missed warped tour, but i need to stop worshipping bands and focus more on my own music. that's the realization that i've come to. it's good to have influences, but honestly, i've been centering my life around listening and seeing- not actually doing. so let's so where i go with this one...
last night was nice. saw steena, nitz, both deninos, walter, rob and gabe. good times. even though steena is quite possibly one of the worst drivers in existence. thanks for almost killing us. multiple times. <3 i missed you guysssssss.
i got a debit card today. woooooo. and i started getting things together for packing. 11 days. and i can't wait. i'm getting so anxious and nervous and everything. it's gonna be awesome.
... ohhhh and i got info today on the scholars program i'm in. the theme for the year is something with "pop culture & identity". i don't remember exactly what it was, but it sounds interesting. i also just found out that we're going to BRAZIL in january. yeaaa rock.
erika's home and i miss her, so hopefully i'll see her sometime tonight, after going out to eat with the fam for my dad's belated birthday. then maybe rico's?
