War.
So, Zakk decided to be a Jewish Zionist today, and said this:
"dude, for a normal conversation, how can u promote the burning of american flags. they dont symbolize government figures, they symbolize the country's principles and what it stands for as a whole, indifferent to war or no war, but for rights of humans. another point, how can u defend the taliban, which has proven ties to al qaeda, as a form of funding and support. THe taliban supported a systerm of government based on religion, but any moral person, pro war or not, can agree the beating of women for exposing a single piece of skin, prevention of giving them an education, and public executions of people cannot be classified as humane treatment. A person should have the right to choose his or her form of governemnt,or at least not be born into one where they are treated like dogs. You defend the deaths of iraqi children, yet the deaths of thousands of kurds by a sick twisted dictator affects you not at all? He killed them not by guns, not hangings, but biological weapons. He gassed innocent women and kids on his own soil, and what makes you think he doesnt pose a threat to the rest of the world. Its common sense. Next, Israel, which i have facts from people who live in the heart of all this shit, so dont say i dont know what im tlking bout, that israel not only pinpoints the locations of specific terrorists who caused suicide bombings, and buldoze THOSE areas, but even WARN THE PALESTINIANS OF THESE TARGETED ATTACKS. And what do those "brave" people do? Strap bombs filled with nails to their chests and kill scores of innocent people every other week. Why? Well these "heroes" arent targeting any government figures, any military compounds, they target innocent people. What is the purpose of that? Well obviously to inflict pain on these people. Not to strike back at the miltiary, but simply to cause suffering to innocent israelis. NExt, on your statemnt of our funding israel, has it occoured to you that we are in fact israels only allies. That entire region is itching to destroy israel, but for some reason you and eli dont sympathize with a country surrounded on all sides by its haters, but sympathize with countrys with powerful dictators with enough money and resources to flatten all of the middle east and asia. So my point here is simply that, we have successfully ousted the taliban, a symbol of all that is unethical and inhumane, put powerful threatening figures into hiding, frozen al qaedas assets, and ousted by your standards "a hell of a good leader!" in iraq. There is aterm called casualties of war. Whether refering to a war, or any cause, you can NOT hit targets without causing the deaths of civilians. Wrong? yes. But when taken into consideration that the deaths of these people - which you are making seem as if they were planned by america, as if we are targetting those innocent people - all is done, and several powerful threats to your fellow civilians have been taken out. But what i will never understand is how you can say Sept. 11th meant nothing to you. As an american citizen (it seems that way since you so wonderfully excercise your right of free speech by burnign YOUR country's flags and spit on those who also excercise the 1st amendmen) it is expected that you sympathize with other innocent civilians over those tragic deaths, Rather than complaing about the anti-american 9 year old kids who say on television they want to grow up to be "brave" suciide bombers and kill more innocents. In fact by suppoirting that these "humans" remain alive you are only fueling threats to your own country. I am patriotic, but i have the common human decncy NOT to kill innocent peolpe by strapping bombs to my chest and walking into muslim restaurants. And NO i DONT believe it is brave, besause it is a hypocritic statement to first defend the deaths of "innocent" people, while saying their actions of killing other innocent people are brave. That in my book makes you no better than those who support war in ANY way. AND I DONT WALK AROUND BURING AFGANI FLAGS OR SAYING WE NUKE THE WHOLE REGION LIKE MINDLESS IDIOTS, SO THAT IS WHAT SEPERATES ME FROM THOSE "BRAVE HUMANS"
To which I will say the following:
No, they don't target just the specific areas for bulldozing. The bulldozing is done not with the intention to curb terrorism, but to to expand. They bulldoze, and carve roads through Palestine, a football field wide. Why such wide roads? To build settlements upon. The wall built to "protect" Israelis from terrorism, though it may serve that purpose, was built in such a way that it surrounded palenstinian farm lands, effectively pinching the farm lands away from the palestinians, allowing Isreal to keep the newly acquired land for itself. That's not curbing terrorism. That's expansionism.
What makes you think Israelis aren't ruthless killers, either? For example, the USS Liberty observed a criminal slaughter by the Israelis. The Israeli air force OWNED the skies over the Middle East, within a few minutes, pounding 25 arab air bases with bombs, from Damascus, to Luxor. After the initial bombings, using machine guns, mortars, tanks, and more air power, the Jordanian section of Jerusalem was overtaken. In the Sinai, along the three roads that crossed through the desert, as forces pushed to the Suez Canal, the desert was turned into a killing field, with Egyptian casualties as stated by an Israeli general to be 7-10,000, in contrast to 275 Israelis. In the middle of all this, a convoy of Indian peacekeeper soldiers, bearing the blue UN flag as the drove, came upon the Israeli tanks, who opened fire as they approached, as the peacekeepers moved out of the way. Then, one of the tanks rotated it's turret, drove it into the windshield, and decapitated both men inside. As their comrades rushed to their aid, they were mowed down my machine gun fire. Another tank thrust its barrel into a UN truck, lifted it up into the air, before slamming it down onto the ground, killing or wounding everyone inside. In Gaza, Israeli tanks blasted six shells into UN headquarters, which was flying a UN flag. All in all, fourteen UN personnel died.
By June 8th, three days into the war, Egyptian prisoners had exploded in number, and had become a nuisance. Not only military, but civilian as well, the prisoners were shot, and other prisoners were ordered to bury them, before being shot as well, after which the Israelis ordered local Bedouins to bury the bodies. Arye Brio, an Israeli soldier involved in the killing, admitted "I had my Karl Gustav I had taken form the Egyptian. My officer had an Uzi. They were sitting there with their faces turned to us. We turned to them with our loaded guns and shot them. Magazine after magazine. They didn't get a chance to react." In another incident, when Egyptian POWs begged for water, he taunted them by emptying a water canteen of his into the sand before their eyes, and shot them. He added that if he were to be tried in court for his actions, half the Israeli army involved would have to be punished as well, for the killings were so common.
Flag burning, from a certain interpretation, can even be seen as the purest form of patriotism. This country was founded on dissent. Dissent that pushed for, and resulted in development, reform, and progression in general. Remember, as a system moves farther away from the edge of chaos, it becomes more stable, but at the same time, progress is stifled, and the system becomes more totalitarian. As it moves close to the edge of chaos, it becomes more dynamic, and progress explodes. If we stifle dissent, we do not make progress as a country.
On Isreal being surrounded by countries with the wealth and resources to flatten it... Saddam Hussein, for example, does not even have an air force, only a land force. That, is 1/12 the size it was during the first gulf war, and even then, was insufficient, and was defeated. Any probability that suicide bombers can flatten Isreal? My ass. Israel in fact, is the ONLY nuclear country in the entire region, since Iraq's only operational nuclear power plant was destroyed by an Israeli attack, rendering the nuclear program in Iraq dead. Keep in mind that under this "dictator", Saddam, before the first gulf war, education was free, and Iraq had the best health care system in the region. Additionally, if you were an entrepenur, preparing to start a private business, and needed some capital, you could've asked Saddam himself for a little help, and he, in many cases, provided it. This was until Iraq was bombed, crippling the electrical, water, and sewage systems, and the UN sacntions imposed, resulting in poverty, due to Iraq not being able to sell its own oil, and resulting in malnutrition, which rpoduced a generation of stillborn, deformed, and retarded children, worsened by the use or uranium ammunition.
It is accepted that the US is a great nation, liberating Iraq, preventing the acquisition of weapons. How about us giving nukes to Pakistan, and India? How about our ally Saudi Arabia, in itself a mini-empire, with conditions for women no better than that under the Taliban? Saudi Arabia, celebrated the 2003 New Year by decapitating two homosexuals in a town square. If we did indeed promote freedom, we would condemn that, but we don't. Hardly anyone knows about that. Anyway, Saddam did most of what we accuse him of doing under our support. We only said something now, because we needed a pretext to war. We needed a reason to use force. The administration needed to fabricate an "imminent threat", to justify war. A war to liberate Iraq? My ass. A war to acquire oil. During the looting of the museums in Iraq, American forces did nothing to stop it. In the museums were the very artifacts of early human civilization. Those artifacts were valuable to, and relevant to, the entire human race, and they were allowed to be taken. Meanwhile, American forces well protected the Iraqi oil ministry. If they really gave a shit about Iraq, and preserving democracy, should they not have attempted to preserve the integrity of its physical being, such as the museum?
And as for suicide bombing, it's futile. Only knowledge, coupled with the power of the people, can bring about reform. Only until the restraints on information are lifted, and the acceptance of "fringe" views introduced into the mainstream media, can that happen. May that day come soon. Until then, peace.
