I forgot to mention a couple things in my original post.

1) All data is backed up nightly, so except for a few stray things that might have got eaten during the actual crash, all journal entries, comments, etc. should be safe.

2) We blame Bertho for all hardware problems - not because he's actually responsible, but because we think it's fun to do so. :)

3) Blurty doesn't use Windows.
