Current music:Queen- I'm Going Slightly Mad

    Another ghost? Yawn.
So, lately, I’ve been reading and watching through some of the BBC’s series on demand. The first series of “White Chapel” was flat out great and intriguing. A copycat Ripper going wild and what else can you do but try to dig up clues from the past in an effort to catch the modern day Ripper (when the original was never caught)? I was on the edge of my seat in the last episode, and though Chandler didn’t get any glory, he did end up destroying the copycat remotely. I had doubts about the second series, but the Kray twins were just as fascinating as the Ripper. I’d never heard of them before so I actually had to research them a bit. It certainly did help me appreciate all the parallels drawn from the original Kray twins to the modern ones.

Nice ending too. ^_^ So with that series over (for now), I started on the “Bedlam” series. Talk about wasted potential. Granted, I’ve only seen the first two episodes, but the characters are living in a former sanatorium, and all you can come up with is ghost of the week episodes? About the only character I like is Jed, whose ability definitely comes in useful at times, though he’d probably like to get rid of it altogether. It’s just too bad he has to protect Kate, who is a complete and utter bitch. Let the ghosts get her, all right? It’s not worth it, cousin or no cousin. Kate is nice one moment and then downright nasty the next. Her father walks all over her, and does she stand up to him at all? Nope, not so far.

I also don’t get why her friends are living in the apartment complex when one of them doesn’t have any type of income and freely admits she’s mooching off of Kate. Are Kate and her father rich? Can she really afford to pay rent for a friend every month? The romance angle the show tries to pull off is also a hot mess. Characters switch from liking someone at the drop of a hat. “That’s enough of Ryan, I think I’ll like Jed now. Why doesn’t he notice me? Wah!” Whoo, didn’t know I felt that strongly about it. ^^; I’ll finish the last four episodes, but I keep seeing what the show could have been, and when you compare that to what the show actually is, it’s disappointing.
