Labor day
Today was spent with my family doing what we do best on holidays like this... cooking out. My oldest daughter J had her first cookout in her new place today... kind of a christening of the place. Granted... she had to borrow our grill and our table... and some of my serving platters.... but it was HER cookout, SHE did the cooking, the planning, the cleaning...all the work. She had games (water frizbee and water ball and of course squirt gun wars).. it was alot of fun to have us all together... I felt good for her. Its amazing how they just grow up one day. She's doing ok - she really is. I was worried, only 18, just graduated, her first apt. but she's ok. Makes a mom feel like she did a decent job. It was wonderful to see my kids, some grown, some not... all laughing and playing together, :D sigh they are good kids..

I'm starting to feel like all those thankless teenage years were worth if afterall... at some point every parent wonders if they are doing things the right way....I guess I did ok.
*relaxed sigh* yeah.
