I think I'll post a topic every week or so, to give us something to talk about (all 2-3 of us >.<)
This week's topic: Cover songs, good or bad?
With me, it depends on who's doing what song. Johnny Cash did a freakin AWESOME cover of Nine Inch Nail's Hurt, but on the other hand, the Goo Goo Dolls should seriously stick to their own songs. Sometimes I like the covered version more than the original, like with Ours' versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Femme Fatale. (I don't mean that Ours did it better than the original, I just prefer the cover) I think Marilin Manson did horrible things to Pink Floyd's The Wall, though, so it can be a bad thing. I guess it depends on who's doing what song. Overall, I really like covers. They're a way of hearing a song done a little different, plus they sometimes introduce a song/artist to people that might not here it otherwise.
