baby steps, doc
ok so yesterday i FINALLY went to get my eyes checked. considering its been 5 yrs since my last eye exam and my glasses have been broken for 3 months now, i guess its time i finally went.
i'd rather get my teeth pulled than have my eyes checked.
the doc was very nice and patient. i dont know what i said but i know i had him laughing.
he told me that i really needed to have my pupils dilated and blah, blah, blah. my response "baby steps, doc" he just smiled "i know"
he asked me what nationality i was. hehehe no one can ever tell. i could be a spy i can pass for anything.
we're gonna see if i can wear contacts. things in my eye...i dunno. i dont even like for them to do the glaucoma test and thats only air.

i shopped at several stores for glasses. god i loathe shopping for eyewear. i have a big nose. its like decoration that says "look at the schnoz on this chick"
the doc actually told me that i "must" wear sunglasses when you are outdoors. UV protection was actually on my prescription. so you know what that means: more expensive glasses aaaargh.
so my options are as follows:
1. 2 pairs of glasses one being sunglasses- thats expensive.
2. regular glasses w/ the clip on lens- great something for me to lose
3. glasses w/ transition lenses. like my lenses arent expensive enough.

after looking at several places i went back to Pearle Vision. they have the lenses half off right now. and since thats where my expense really is. i decided just to get cheap frames and save on the lenses. my lenses run around $150-$200 thats JUST for the lenses. so i'm telling the girl how much i loathe the entire experience and i tell her that i'd really like to have transition lenses but it costs too much. and do you know what that sweet lil darlin told me? "well actually if you do that the frames are free IF you get frames that are less than $100 if it's over a $100 you pay the difference."

we did the whole this color, that shape, this finish until we found a pair.
i spent $169 on my glasses, which is very cheap. cause thats less than my lenses all by themselves.
it could/should have been:
$89.92 frames
+$180.00 lenses
+ $80.00 for transitions
total $349.92
