WARNING. this journal entry will do no justice to how awesome yesterday really was. no matter how good it sounds, it was 20 million times better. WARNING.
yesterday was easily one of the best days of my life. i'll start off with school...
first period me and melissa got a pass to go down to heritage for our double study which was the funnest study i have ever had. we got down there and talked to courtney and felipe and josh, cause he's cool and one of his favorite bands is Ours. so i was sittting there and i also talked to jon mendez while melissa and courtney were talking amongst themselves. :)
next i had communications..he wasnt there.
spanish. ah spanish. we discussed for 44 minutes who would bring in what food for our "fiesta" on tuesday and who we were going to celebrate for the day of the day. so needless to say we are honoring alliyah (sp?) and kayleigh..aka...stupid idiot is going to be alliyah.
double history, now i was dreading this class a lot cause it was going to be my only boring class of the day, especially being a double. now dont get me wrong, mr harris is cool but i dont like doubles. so i went in and who was there but a SUB! yay. i contained myself and then i got really happy. so the whole double i was talking to andy, ryan, chris pratt, and alex mendez :) so all in all good class even though he did come in at the end of the class and found us being all loud and stuff and a kid that wasnt supposed to be in our class was there so he got mad.
then i had lunch 9 which was boring but not too bad since i just talked to andy the whole time i believe and stole some pretzel from felipe.
geometry i had a test but i honestly dont think i got anything wrong on it. if i got below a 95 i will be surprised. it was really easy and that was all we had to do during the whole period.
english was last and i had another sub and instead of her making us write a 4 paragraph compare and contrast essay she made us write a one paragraph "essay" on the main idea of the story which was good cause me and courtney made it up and it was easy so it went by fast.
after school..getting closer to APC. we left and i saw Rick and i felt really bad leaving him there, i missed him a lot yesterday especially at the concert since that was where all the couples were. i love him. :) so i kissed him and then i left with alex, jen, and andy.
got to the t finally, after it took andy and jen an hour to cross the stupid street but anyways...we got there and got on the train and made our long way to copley. we ate at flamer's cause it rocks and i definately got 2 orders of cheese fries that were sooo good.
we left copley and met my dad at the hancock and walked to his house were he proceeded to take a shower, and then we left. although we had forgot the directions. so we turned around and lost about 10 minutes. anyways we were on our way and nothing could stop us now. we realized we didnt bring any APC or Tool cd's so we listened to the beatles. pretty cool i might add.
we got to the place (whittemore center) after a few wrong turns at about 7:10 meanwhile doors are just about opening when we got there so we ran across this astro turf thing and it felt cool so that we could get to the other doors with the shorter, quicker lines. me and jen were in first followed by andy, alex and then finally my dad.
right away we went to the merchandise table and i bought a shirt along with everyone else. oh man my shirt is hot. anyways, after purchasing the shirts (and debating with jen on whether or not we should buy and share the APC thong...heh) we went down onto the floor and were in shock.
about 20 minutes after we got to the floor the lights went out and on came the year of the rabbit. i enjoyed them, no one else i was with did but i did and that's all that mattered. they were cool and the lead singer was okay looking. once they ended their 32 minute set the lights came back on and about 40 minutes later (a long, excruciating 40 minutes) the intro to "vanishing" started playing followed by the lights going out!
on came A PERFECT FREAKING CIRCLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maynard started out behing a box/curtain/swirly illusion thing for vanishing and then he came out for Pet. oh my god he looked so hot. his wig was all brown and long and he had on black adidas pants with a white beater on.
here's the set list with my opinion on each song/performance:
-vanishing: oh man, i was so anxious throughout this whole set cause it was all quiet and amazing and just waiting for Maynard to reveal himself. it was really good, definately made me more excited.
-pet: hotter than the real version by 10 times. he came out from behind the curtain and i got to take a look at jeordie (who is hot by the way, heh). "Swaying to the rhythm of the new world order and...." made me want to faint.
-the hollow: wasnt the best song of the night but so amazing and hot and perfect. during this song Maynard decided he wanted to get even hotter and stomp his foot really sexily. heh.
just to add in here his voice is the cutest thing in the whole entire world. :)
-magdalena: the last "i'd sell my soul, my self esteem a dollar at a time for one chance, one kiss, one taste of you my magdalena" need i say more?
-weak and powerless (aka think for yourself as Maynard called it): was amazing. people started getting a little rambunctious which was pretty stupid but other than that pure perfection.
-rose: the rose/thomas combination wasnt what we wanted but i must say that it was so good. "when push comes to pull, comes to shove" *faints* i wanted to cry. he is such a god.
-blue: one of my favorite APC songs so there was no way it could've been bad. and trust me it was no where near bad. talk about amazingness, he was sitting down during this but it was still amazing since he was still stomping his foot.
...he was sitting because he was making fun of the crowd and how they wouldn't stand..which was cute but i must say the crowd was really pretty stupid and didnt deserve to be there. he the proceeded to say that the "fbi and cia might hunt and shoot me down for this but they implanted tracking devices in each of the seats so that when you sit on them they are implanted into your anus, so be my guest and sit if you want to be tracked by the fbi" it was wicked cute.
-thomas: wasnt really paying attention duing thomas, i dont know why i think i was looking at jeordie the whole time and trying to get b.k.a. x 2 out of the way. Maynard was hidden in the shadows but it was still good.
-the package: oh my god. how hot can you get? "peripheral on the package" ahhhh. god is he hot. the song had so much feeling behind it too, it was amazing.
-3 libras: oh man. yeah, it was pretty sad that no one started moshing to it, heh..but never the less it was still godlike. i love that song so much and whenever i hear it i get chills so this time it was like chills times a million since it was LIVE!
now this is where a certain, really funny joke was inserted by the one and only Maynard. here goes:
maynard: knock, knock
crowd: who's there?
maynard: little boy blue.
crowd: little boy blue who?
maynard: michael jackson.
oh mand i thought it great. and before the next song he said: and now for a song called "the nurse who love me" not the popstar who loved me. hehe
-the nurse who loved me: much, much better than the cd version. much more emotion and energy put into it and according to andy it was the best version they did on the tour so far.
-gravity: good song, even better that Maynard started stripping during it. okay so he didnt strip but he did take off his shirt and oh man is he sexy.
now somewhere in the set was a song that i believe jeordie wrote called "fred's got slacks" so Maynard (i dont remember where in the set it was) introduced it as a song about a guy named fred who has slacks. and the song went something like "fred's got slacks, he's got a nice pair of slacks, fred's got tight slacks." it was funny and really awesome since Maynard and Jeordie sang. hehe
-the outsider: oh my god. craziness, Maynard was going all out during this, he was stomping and spinning and stomping more. it made it even better since it's my favorite APC song. "disconnect and self destruct one bullet at a time." :) :) :) :)
-the noose: how hot? i mean who doesnt love the noose? it was so good especially the last "with your halo slipping down" part. oh man. definately another favorite APC song.
and lastly you have
-judith: craziness. absolute awesomeness. everyone was going crazy since they all knew it was the last song and it was over. Maynard was amazing and it was a PERFECT way to end the concert.
OH MAN. the greatest night of my life. i heart APC and Maynard. and jeordie, and josh, and james, and billy. i heart last night!
