    I read a lot.
Today I read Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi. It was excellent. I recommend it to all of you. I may re-read some of Jurassic Park tonight, because we're studying chromosomes in biology class. On Wednesday I bought (well, my dad bought 4/5ths of it) Her Husband, which is about Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath. Their marriage is probably my favorite relationship in all of history. It even trumps J.D. Salinger and Joyce Maynard! I want to marry someone just like Ted Hughes when I grow up, really I do. Except I don't really like poetry, so that might cramp my style just a little bit.
Also, today I started reading that book that's the actual transcript of the trial of Oscar Wilde, and then I stopped reading it because I wanted to buy it for two dollars used from Amazon.com. Hopefully I'll actually be able to do that. The other day I ordered Party Monster: A Fabulous but True Tale Of Murder In Clubland, or something like that, by James St. James. I want to be James St. James when I grow up, in case I hadn't mentioned that before. I am excited for its arrival.

Um, so, the Cotillion is tomorrow and I'm totally not going. I'm going to a before-party at Sara's house and an after-party at Dana's house, though. Is that super weird? I need something catastrophically fabulous to do while everyone's at the actual dance, so I don't feel left out.

In other news, the movies on the super-circulating list that everyone's talking about that I have seen are:

    10 Star Wars (1977)
12 One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)
15 Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
    17 Memento (2000)
    20 North by Northwest (1959)
    22 Amélie (2001)
    29 American Beauty (1999)
53 Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
58 Wizard of Oz, The (1939)
    65 Vita è bella, La (1997)
    70 Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
    76 Annie Hall (1977)
    80 Braveheart (1995)
    84 Sixth Sense, The (1999)
    92 Donnie Darko (2001)
    95 Princess Bride, The (1987)
    98 Lola rennt (1998)
    99 Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)

I'd like to point out that I haven't seen Casablanca, any of the Lord of the Rings movies, 2001: A Space Odyssey, or The Matrix. I guess that makes me a little abnormal.

There are several things wrong right now, and I would totally appreciate polite inquiries about my TRAGIC WOES.
