The world top luxurious jewelry retailer, Tiffany & Co is always enlarging its business scope. Recent days, tiffany has cooperated with Japan mobile phone manufacturer.
Japan's Softbank Mobile has stated that eight limited-edition phones, each designed by luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co and studded with 537 diamonds, sold out in just three days.
The phone went on sale for $134,000. Softbank spokesman Katsuhide Furuya said: "All eight diamond cell phones were sold by September 3. I guess the buyers found them worthwhile."
Japan is reportedly the world's largest market for luxury goods and leading luxury brands have repeatedly tapped into the mobile market. Earlier this year Softbanks rival NTT DoCoMo launched a phone designed by Italian luxury brand Prada. Luxury brand Gucci has also opened a website for items accessible only by Japanese mobile phones.
The Japans luxury market is in great potential for the world luxurious goods sales.
Tiffany & Co has operated six international stores there, which including two male tiffany store. The tiffany sales in Japan jewelry market contributed a lot to the total tiffany sale. And Tiffany & Co will open a concept tiffany store in Japan next year, which will bring great surprise to the tiffany fans in Japan and Asia.
