high jewelry this fall for Paris's Biennale
Even at this time of year, when sparkle is the norm, nothing lights up a woman's face like a pair of dangling diamond earrings. Let the festivities begin! The luxury house tiffany co debuted another spectacular collection of high jewelry this fall for Paris's Biennale des Antiquaires. The collection's highlights include twenty vintage pieces and an amazing assortment of padparadschah sapphires (shown here). "Padparadschah sapphires are very precious and are among the most valuable stones in the world, with a provenance from the ancient mines in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka," says Frdric de Narp, president and CEO of Cartier North America. "It is rare to have such grand stones, weighing between twenty-two and thirty-one carats, as featured in these rings. Each is set in platinum and ranges in color from pinkish orange to red, and creates an exquisite glow." Clockwise from top right: Sapphire, natural-pearl and diamond necklace; sapphire and diamond earrings; sapphire and diamond necklace; orange-sapphire and diamond ring. Tiffany cufflinks are also the necessary accessory for men this summer.
