A letter to myself

Dearest Claire:

Do not read old diaries with scribbled entries on how much you love(d) your ex-boyfriend ever again. In fact, put those diaries in a box high up in the closet where you will forget about them.
Or at least wait for about 5 more years or when you are truly over him. It looks like that's how long it's going to take for you to get over it.
It is not amusing or heart-warming to read these journals. They only remind you that you used to be crazy in love and totally clueless. And that he broke your heart into a million pieces too many times, and even if you know he obviously wasn't the one, you will still feel like shit.
