    ..and finishing the baileys tonight...which given past years performances will no doubt be the last alcoholic drink I have for the year...and I still don't think it was a bigger bottle....but I could check it....

    in fact I just did......the measure goes something like this...
    proof of alcohol....=17 divided by 2 = 8.5 alcohol %
    3.5 oz's of this proof = a standard drink which is about 100 ml's.
    So I've had on average a standard alcoholic beverage a day for seven days.

    If it were a shot of a 40% alcohol like whisky, rum tequila at 1.5 oz or 44 mls (with a mix), then that would be a standard drink...so effectively drinking that means I'd need to drink say 2.25 drinks to the standard whisky to feel the same effect.....which is kind of interesting....particularly when you get the same measure from a hotel what ever you drink in most cases.


    and one can of beer with 350 mls equals a standard drink....so it would be the same as drinking seven cans of beer over seven days....
