It's so lovely to be back, really. Seeing everyone that I haven't talked to since last June is wonderful. Of course, Parvati and I had met up numerous times over the summer and kept in touch through letters, but it was good to "officially" see her again. I didn't even realize how much I missed everything here until I first stepped foot in the castle and the smell of its old, dark and rustic hallways enveloped me. After practically living here for four years, you can't help but love it, with all its mystery and grandeur.
I've been waving to everyone that I recognize in the halls. Hell, I was even tempted to run over and give Malfoy a hug! Parvati asked me why I was so happy; she said that I haven't dished out one nasty comment yet, which was 'unlike me.' Pfft, look who's talking-- she was pretty chipper today also.
Packing and boarding the train was complete chaos, though. I overslept, and woke up to mum screaming from across the manor that I'm going to be late. Honestly, woman, calm down. I had packed the night before, luckily. So me, my dad, and mum made our way down to Kings Cross, said our goodbyes, and I boarded the train in the nick of time. I realized I forgot my favourite pair of periwinkle dress robes AND my new edition of 'Unfogging The Future' back at home in my bedroom. Mum'll have to send those over soon; I can't wait to get started on the book. It'll give me a head start in Divinations class this year.
Speaking of which, I ran into Professor Trelawney earlier today and had a nice chat with her. I'm very excited to get started with Divinations. She says we're starting off with a bit of palm reading and later on we're doing oracle bones! This day couldn't get any more wonderful.
