So Long, Farewell, and All Those Other Things
In 12 hours I will be on the way to SHarecon. I'm all packed (I think), I'm hyped up, and I'm ready to go! I left work at 3PM today so I could go to the bank and get my travelling cash. I think the best part of the day was...well, pretty much the sum of the day. EVERYONE knows I'm going to con. Some shake their heads, some smile, and others say "don't bring us anything back, really." I love that in my workplace I can say "I'm going to con" and the reaction of my boss is to ask which one;) I loooooooove my job, my coworkers, and my bosses. One of my coworkers hasn't seen my home office yet, with the slash art collection, so I promised that when I got back from con and hung all the new art I'd have a viewing party for one of Shawn's Real World/Road Rules: Battle of the Sexes 2 episodes and she could get the tour.
I had to miss out on the fair this year because last night was the only night I could go and it rained:( My coworker's gonna get me a bag of cotton candy though, so I haven't totally missed out. I'll try to eat it between Tuesday and Friday because next weekend I have to go to DC for a work conference. Yes, I'm going to Maryland and then coming home and then going back up to DC. I just enjoy travelling I-95, what can I say?
I'm sure I'll remember a million things I wanted to say in about an hour, but for now I'll bid you all farewell and I'll be back online Monday night with an attempt at a con overview. (On second thought, it might be Tuesday before I can give a con report since I'm bound to be too wound up and excited to get it all down;)
