as always, my obsession with brand new is unhealthy. really. god damned geniuses. AP readers poll = brand new = artist of the year, deja entendu = album of the year :-D love love love love love.
jeez, i haven't updated in a while! this is my first update of the year! noice!
this weekend has been fun! not too much sitting around the house! except today i have a day full of homework.. yippee! lol.
friday night, becka, megan, sam, and i went to see "chasing liberty." despite our laughing and making fun of it the entire movie, it's cheesy lines, and mandy moore's ridiculously strange character, it was cute. typically cute. but the script was HORRIBLE. i wish i could watch a movie without thinking about stuff like that and just appreciate the story, but dude.. even the story was like.. "wow, i haven't heard THAT before!" [sarcasm] kinda like that movie they always play on disney, "my date with the president's daughter," lol. the guy in the movie was pretty cute though.
so anyway. after that, we went to KFC! haha, we all had a craving. we were the ONLY people there besides this one random guy, so we just acted like idiots. t'was fun! i saw the cashier at our school yesterday.. knew i recognized him! lol.
then saturday at 7 in the morning i went to the school for my sister's dance competition. yep! i was up early! i chilled alone [well, from time to time my sister would come sit by me.. and this random man sat next to me.. i was scared.. every time he left to get up i would move further or away or something.. hahah] until sometime between 10 and 11 when becka got there. we left after my sister's performance because i had seen pretty much everything i wanted to see and my ass hurt from the bleachers, it was like around 1 or so.. i don't know. so yeah. but they all did really well!
after that i went home for like 15 minutes and then alyssa came and picked me up and we drove around for a while. it was cool, because i hadn't hung out with her in the longest time, so we just talked and caught up and all that fun stuff.
i went home at like 3:30 and chilled and did whatever [went online.. watched both drive thru dvds.. lol] until about 7:30ish when becka, megan, and i went to borders. we were on a search for emo boys, but with our luck again, there weren't any! lol. but it was fun! we looked at a million books and calendars and magazines and cds, etc etc. just did the usual = acted like idiots. then we got hungry and walked to jewel, so we got some stuff to eat and drink and sat at a table in there to eat + stuff. then as we were leaving, we saw one of those little quarter machines [well this one was 50 cents] that had fake bling bling in it! we spent like $8 trying to get this big B for becka but she got a giant basketball hoop on a chain so that was bling enough! lmao, i got a dice necklace, a dollar sign necklace, a bracelet that says "player," and best of all, the player ring! haha, it's so tight.
so then we wanted to go to circuit city, and as we were walking over there this car like honked at us and then these two guys in a truck were like waving, so we look and circuit city is closed, so we were like "hey you!" and the truck stopped and we hopped in the back of the pickup and they gave us a ride to borders, lol. it was so cold and we didn't want to walk! haha. hitch-hiking is my new hobbie. lmao. so we went and had some more fun in borders and then went home!
ooh! i sent a song of mine into a zine [they have a writing column], and the editor replied: "wow, i'm blown away. that's an amazing song. do you have a band? and thanks for sending in :)" that made me soo happy! i mean, amazing? AMAZING? riiiight. chris carrabba's lyrics are amazing. jesse lacey's lyrics are amazing. but MINE? i'm glad someone thinks so ;)
