Excused b/c I can't be impartial
I got dismissed from jury duty b/c due to my law enforcement friends and degrees, I am unable to be impartial and thus was excused from jury duty. I went in at 8:15 and left at 12:30. The trial was set to take 3-4 days! I am SO glad I got out of it! I am in a really bad emotional place right now and the trial wouldn't have my full attention anyway. Again I say, the legal system sux! This creep committed this come on May 30, 2001 and it just now got to court. Grrr. So glad I'm a cop and not a judge. I took one of the books I rented from the library w/me though, ("Wifey" is 95% finished, but got put aside for my new books). I am reading a book about Nicholas and Alexandra Romanov. The last Tsar and Tsarina of Imperial Russia. I also got a book about Rasputin and 2 History channel documentaries about Nicky and Alex. After I saw the HBO movie "Rasputin" I was absolutely disgusted by the end of the Romanov family. The first time I went to a museum was when the "Treasures of the Tsars" was an exhibit at the St. Pete Museum. Mom and I went and ever since I have been dying for more info about the Romanov Dynasty. To my knowledge, Alexei's skeleton was never recovered and Russia refused a proper burial of the bodies of the entire Romanov family, (including their servants). If anybody, (for any reason), can find info on the web (or otherwise) about the possible discovery and/or location of Alexei's skeleton and the location of the Romanov family's bones...PLEASE e-mail me w/the info or web links. I am dying to know what became of them. I haven't watched the documentaries yet. I am hoping they shed some light on what happened to Alexei and if the family skeletons are still in a state room in Russia. So, basically that is my rant for this time. I cried at the end of the movie. I was absolutely horrified by the way that family was treated. I hope the people who executed them lived miserable lives and died horrible deaths.
On a happier note...Maw Maw is out of the hospital and at home now. The diagnosis?!...NOTHING! Yeah, it's a long story written by an idiot doctor! Imagine that! (*You who know me know how I feel about doctors*) Also, today is Tuesday...Gary is coming home on Saturday! YEAHHHH!!! I am so damn excited you can't imagine! Ok, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna work on a new web site tonight, (oh boy oh boy!). I'll link it on here when I am done! See ya!
