    Current mood: content

    honesty in red
    silly!
I see him pack a suitcase and (in my dream) he starts walking. it's not until I hear the plane touch down that I realize he checked his bag.
I see his silhouette waiting by the #4 carousel. I can recognize the back of his head - I saw it a lot when I made him walk away...and after all this time, it still looks the same and he is the same, but we are not - we're better now.
I approach him unsteadily as 642 thoughts race through my mind. What is the appropriate way to say, "hello, I've missed you and I'm really glad you're here"? Is it an embrace from behind as if I've finally found a long lost friend? Maybe it's a tap on the shoulder and a smile for when he turns around? Maybe I just run and tackle him like a Tigger? I touch his right tricep with my right hand and drag it across the middle of his back until we interlock, my right elbow with his left. I hope to God it's him...and not some random person!
I'm looking up at him as he lowers his gaze to my eyes.
    His smile never lies.
