    Modern day Hi-Technology TVs- HDTV

HDTV means High Definition Television. The Digital HDTV Grand Alliance introduced this technology at the time of 1990s in the USA first. This is also defined by 1080 active lines, 16 x 9 aspect ratio in ITU-R BT.709.

High defintion TV means showcasing of large screen pictures with good details and clarity than found in standard analogue Televisions, or any other digitalized TVs formats. But the truth is that it is the highest quality DTV screen format accessible.

Plasma, direct-view, rear screen, and front screen projection are several kinds of High defintion TV displays. HDTVs should have a HDTV tuner to watch and the most detailed HDTV format is 1080i.
