Most everyone has experienced the painful effects of sunburn to some degree. Whether one is on vacation at the beach, working an outdoor job, or spending time gardening in the back yard, the person who forgets to use sun protection knows all too well the consequences of getting burned. In treating any problem I prefer the natural method as I do not like the chemicals that are used in over-the-counter medications. One natural sunburn treatment you can administer yourself is to drink plenty of water, keeping your skin hydrated. It was impossible to take a hot shower after a sun burn so I had to soak myself in a cool bath for about 30 minutes, it felt great actually. Treatment: 1. Emu Oil is a natural anti-inflammatory that helps the skin heal quickly and re-hydrates burned tissue. It is often used to treat burns, lacerations, and helps prevent scarring by promoting new, healthy skin cell growth. Jojoba Oil is a naturally-derived plant extract that moisturizes and encourages healing. It mimics our natural oils and improves elasticity and moisturization to burns - alleviating the tightening sensation and encouraging quick recovery and relief. 2. Make mixture of wheat flour mixed with milk, olive oil, or barley flour, honey, and raw egg white paste. It will be a best facial for sunburn skin. 3. or mild sunburn, apply a moisturising lotion or a special aftersun cream from a pharmacy. Aftersun helps to cool the skin as well as moisturising and relieving the feeling of tightness. Calamine lotion can also be used to relieve itching and soreness. 4. If you have sunburn, then it most certainly means that your skin has become dehydrated. You will have to replenish the water content. Drink lots of water (even though it makes you urinate a lot), and also stick to a liquid diet if possible for one whole day. Eat a lot of fruits that are high in water content such as watermelons, oranges, sweet limes and cantaloupes. 5. Make mixture of wheat flour mixed with milk, olive oil, or barley flour, honey, and raw egg white paste. It will be a best facial for sunburn skin. 6. Put one small box of baking soda to the bathtub and immerse the body in it. It will provide relief from burns. 7. Until the sunburn has healed, stay out of the sun and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Dehydration is frequently a by-product of a sunburn. Avoid drinking alcohol because it can dehydrate skin further. 8. There is a plus side to getting sunburn and that is the skin that peels off, mostly on the shoulders. Peeling off the skin was always fun and I liked to see what was the biggest piece I could get off at once, gross I know. Sunburn treatments are very simple to do, or you can just stay out the sun all together and won't have to worry about getting sunburned.
