A Song I know all too well...
A couple months back, the anime Nodame Cantabile started airing on Animax. The Marketing phrase was "Japan's' No.1 Romance Comedy" and it holds true so I started watching it.
That's when I learned of the song konna ni chikaku de... which was used on the 1st ending credits.
It's a phonetically pleasing and wonderful song to hear until you understand the lyrics.
The first inkling of the song's content lay in the last line of the 1st chorus that says in English: "You don't understand. I'm so in love with you..."
And true to both the chorus line and the Anime's plot, I found that the translation bore perhaps the one song I could relate to better than anything I had ever heard before: one-sided love.
