Happy almost-Easter!
Hey everybody, I was just up for like 2 days straight. Not working, but just hanging out and stuff. I hope you're all enjoying your spring break. All right, down to business. Last night I watched The Matrix Revolutions on DVD and for some reason I enjoyed it more than I did the 1st time. Which brings me to an interesting topic: The ridiculous amount of religious symbolism in those movies. If you didn't notice it in the 1st 2 movies, you would've had to be retarded not to see Neo "dying on the cross" to save the world. Check out this site for some very interesting stuff about this: http://webpages.charter.net/mark_turner/matrix/matrix_symbolism.htm
They don't have anything for Reloaded but I've noticed a few things, like how the Merovingian (french dude) represents Satan, and how the Architect is "God the creator" in Genesis and Neo choosing the left door that will cause a "cataclysmic system crash" represents the fall from grace into sin, sin being represented by death and smith, who is taking over the matrix. (Oh, and the french dude, representing Satan, leads them to the key that allows that choice to happen.) And some people say that the current version of the matrix Neo is in, which is the 6th, represents the 6th day of creation, but I dunno know about that. Oh well, I'm getting too into this for now, I gotta talk about something else. Oh boy! I'm off to eat spaghetti, not that stuff in a jar but the real, homemade, way better tasting stuff! I'll see you all later.
