YOUR bands on MTV.
alllright.this is probably gonna be ended or something. But I thought it was an interesting start for a conversation. so sue me if im wrong ;]
what do YOU do when your favorite "emo" (if you will..) band becomes the greatest thing & more mainstream. Like, there are loads of people that dug GC before they made it big. And then the preppies took it over all like 'LyK oMg. GeE cEe ArE sO hoTt. I waNt BeNjI' and now if you say to some people that you like GC they think you're a poser. I was searching for a picture of brand new for a layout & such and found a picture.. at mtv.com and that made me upset. Times infinity. And I'm all against the whole mainstream and mtv thing just cause it's way more of a personal thing with music if there arent hundreds of billions people out there listening to the same thing as YOU. So what im getting at.. is for all the people who paste up Brand New Lyrics and Dashboard and such.. If they become as popular as say GC have.. do you think that YOU're gonna dislike them cause of it? I suppose it was a stupid topic, but I'm torn between a few things here ;x that is all.
