I'm going to say something that may be a bit controversial. OK, here goes.

    I like Dollhouse.

Sorry, but I do. Maybe it's because I didn't have high expectations after reading everyone else's reviews of it, or maybe I just generally have relatively low expectations for TV shows, but whatever the reason, I really quite liked Dollhouse. It's the kind of programme that you can watch with your brain switched off, and I hate to say it, but I like shows like that. And I think someone might have said this on the temporary forums, but it's not unsimilar to the format of Buffy at the beginning, with the creature (or engagement, in this case) of the week, and a slowly developing overall arc.

Just because Joss Whedon was involved with it wasn't what made me decide to watch it. In fact, that might have been enough to put me off, since even though I've liked his shows in general (although some of them have had really low points - season 7 Buffy anyone?), I don't really like him that much (more Controversy!). I find him pompous, with an ego the size of the Grand Canyon (I really need to stop listening to director commentaries with him!). Anyone, the Joss rant aside, I decided to watch it because I wanted to see if it was really as bad as everyone was saying (which is also the reason I started reading Twilight!), but I'm glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised.

Although, perhaps I switched my brain off a bit too much because [Begin Spoiler for Spoiler - Highlight to view]
I didn't realise that Victor was Helo's (!) informant until the end of the fourth episode![End Spoiler] D'oh!

Anyway, in other news, I don't really have any. My life has been toddling along at a relatively boring pace, I'm afraid. And now I'm getting into exam mode, so I'll have even less to write about in the coming months. I did just book my flights home for a weekend in May, which was initially going to be a post-exam relaxing weekend, but seems to have turned into a post-exam blow-out because I'm now going to a 30th birthday party, and on a pub crawl with my sisters! Then the following weekend, my mum's coming down and we're going to see Oliver! I can't believe that it's less than two months away now, considering we purchased the tickets over a year and a half in advance. Yay!

I think I'll also being doing a bit of travelling in May and June, to a couple of conferences in Bermuda and Brussels. I'd be happy if I get to go to the one in Brussels. I really like it there, and I'd make a real effort to get out and see some of the city (I tend to be in meeting rooms the whole time).

And with that, I'll sign off for another couple of months. Bu-bye!
