kaze no.... hana yo....
saaaa hiraaa-kuu no yo
just watched the dvd of someday's dreamers that I got from ushicon. beautiful stuff. the backgrounds are simply gorgeous. the animation style isn't too bad, if you can avoid comparing it to kumichi yoshizuki's breathtaking, yet simple, watercolor art. now I want more. but almost 30 bucks for a dvd =(
heh, it just occurred to me that most of the dvds I got are in the artsy category. haibane, dreamers, the amg movie (which is actually a romance movie, but a damn beautiful one at that), and d7peacemaker, stage 1 (which is action but uses a still-frame, comic book format).
okay, so artsy may not be the right term. but I have my eye out for style and artwork. heck, someday's dreamers was an impulse buy. fell in love instantly with the box artwork at best buy. the animation isn't too bad, but it inevitably pales in comparison.
I'll even go to image bulletin boards and download anything pretty. I have quite a collection now. I need to filter through it sometime, probably during the break. and don't get me started on my wallpaper -_-
this week is pretty relaxed compared to the last one. no running the gauntlet here before the break. I do have a physics test thursday night, but it shouldn't be too bad. abstract for my world lit project is due on thursday, but I already have most of it done. just gotta touch it up a little. same with my ayn rand essay, due on the same day.
and I found my physics lab notebook with my lab data. left it at theater rehearsal last night. tried going back to the room during the day today, but there was class every time. fortunately, it was still sitting there when I went to rehearsal tonight. no more freaking out about trying to finish my physics lab report.
man. my bandwidth resets friday night at midnight. I went over last week on wednesday night, so I waited the night after until I had my bandwidth back. after midnight, I started getting bottle fairy through bittorrent, but figured that I'd probably use up all my bandwidth if I left bt running during the night. so I fired it up saturday morning, but then went to lunch and looked through the "explore UT" booths with sam and his girlfriend stella. when I rushed back to check my computer, I was uploading at around 220k per second. needless to say, most of my bandwidth was gone. around 3.4 gigs, just like that. out of 4 for the week.
this morning, I had 0.18 megs left. yes, that's 180 kilobytes. I was actually down to 1-2 megs during the past few days. sadly, while checking my mail, I was transferred to the secondary server. irc still works for me, but I can't connect to anyone on dc++ anymore.
oh well. when I go back to plano, I'll get hundred stories through dsl. yet another artsy series for me :D chris, this was the series I was talking about when you wanted something in the horror category. if I get it all, I'll let you borrow it once you're done with hellsing.
and as for those anime reviews, I finished writing one for bottle fairy. it scares me that I take 30 minutes to an hour for each review. I'm still not done with the hundred stories review because I'm still trying to find a way to phrase what I want to say. after I finish with that review, I'll probably submit these two for now before working on others.
spring break in 3 days. whoo. probably the last break before summer. man. let's hope I don't waste this one =)
*tries to refrain from bringing the second book to the dune prequel with him to plano*
*update* this gets better and better. as I mentioned a while ago, anyone familiar with ai yori aoshi will notice that "the indigo" also makes an appearance in someday's dreamers by performing the ED song. apparently, the director of ai yori aoshi (and enishi), masami shomida, directed this series as well. woot!
