A Lighter Entry for a Change

    i'd die

For those of you who are interested in seeing this nostalgic song, you can view it here.

Since I've been generally busy and given that now is the only time I've had to blog, plus the excitement of sharing to people some updates on our wedding plans, I've been contemplating the creation of another blog to document our wedding plans all the way to the I Do's, the drunk guests and so on. Please stay tuned for that. Remind me about it, too.

    clamshell, intramuros

This here, folks, is the PTA Tent Clamshell 2. In its barest form. It's huge. Capacity is about 900 people, sitting. The advantage of a place like this is that you have enough freedom to do what you want with the place. Sounds good, but then when you say freedom, you also have to say "decorate". For us, 200-250 would only take up a portion of it. But with proper decorating, 250 will be just right.

The downside? Decorating is a lot of money. And unless you have that included in the budget, it's gonna come out more expensive than other places. And there is also a lot of work to be done in the place. Floor painting, railing fixing, and so on. So now you know why Lorena mentioned our moms' feelings towards it.

Thankfully, as Lorena mentioned, came this place:

    forbes outside

Forbes Pavillion. With the strings that we got to pull, we've been able to reserve this beautiful place. It comes out much cheaper than Clamshell as well. The place is near a playground amidst greens, so in terms of surroundings, it is very much a cleaner place to work with. We got the option of putting the caterer's buffet outside by the front steps, which will allow for the guests to fit nicely inside. :)

    forbes inside

Here's the interior. The place had just finished a family reunion. The place claims to fit about 300 people, plus it's got halogen lights which gives it an overall museum effect. It's really nice! We got really sold on this place. Plus, it's much nearer to Guadalupe Church than Clamshell. And easier to map out, too! ;P

So there, new updates from our wedding plans. Coming soon would be my own separate wedding blog page (yes, I'll be the one updating it). ;P
