What's on my mind (Also known as my recaps)

Exactly a week later after my last entry, I've decided to write a quick one for those who read my blog (for the life of me, I have no idea how many people that'd be).

    HIGHLIGHTS OF LAST WEEK:

    - Great session of Capo: Yup, I had a great time at Capoeira, having been able to take part in the Roda again. Nuggets and I took to the center again (without fear of jumping in immediately after the higher-belters). Nice play between him and I, with lots of ducks, spins, rolls and kicks (one instance was me brushing his face with a gust of wind). I did, however, do a quick-spinning handstand, and a short windmill. Fantasma didn't scold me naman, and I was glad he mentioned this: "Keep playing, you won't expect what your opponent's game would be everytime you play". Which brings me to the next highlight.

-I was on TV for about 10seconds in one segment: GMA7 was there to shoot the session last week, and Fantasma told us we'd be on at 9:30 (which was perplexing, since it's a bevy of telenovelas around that time). Turns out, we were shown on QTV's news program. The Roda was shown, and some training sequences. I'm quite visible having been the only one with a blue "UMA" band. LOL

    - Yes, as mentioned, my promotion. Blessing indeed.

    - Dad celebrated his 54th birthday last Saturday. Dad's the coolest (actually, both my parents are the coolest). We had lunch at Dampa sa Libis. Yarrrrr!!! All the seafood you can eat, and 100% fresh even. The salmon and tuna sashimi along with the crab and squid were awesome. I ate a lot, and was so surprised that I didn't feel full. Man, seafood rocks! I can eat in bunches and not get full. ;P

    - Lorena and I spent time with the SIGA teens in their annual SIGALYMPICS last Sunday at the Marikina Sports Complex. It was the first time for either of us to attend this activity, and am happy to say that the teens we represent did good! Gold medal for Badminton (Men's and Mixed Doubles) and a Bronze in Volleyball. Not bad! Nice job, kids! Great job, sweetie!

    - Started preparing the songs for Monica and Dennis' wedding. Excited for that one.

    QUOTE OF LAST WEEK:

"Yup, my sons have their regular service during weekends for GK. One serves out-of-school kids, the other with out-of-school youth. It may be a hard thing for them that it's one day from their weekends, but at the end of the day, they feel fulfilled and content."

    - Dad, to my cousin JB, when the latter asked why we weren't around for the Galera weekend of my cousins and that Sunday. :)

    WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK:

    - Very exhausting schedule: Had two meetings already for the community, plus CLP on Thursday. Yes, that means I'm missing Capo for this week (again). Oh well, service. :)

    - Exciting 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs. My money's on the Mavs, who will finally end the dominance of the Spurs; The Cavs, who will be strong enough to give the Pistons a run for their money every single game; The Suns, to run so fast that they forget how many times they defeat the Clips; I'll probably be happy eitherway on who will win the Nets-Heat series.

    - Sexy Party 3, Canyon Woods: I'm looking forward to the weekend. Out of town trips are always welcome additions to my summer, especially when I get to spend it with friends.. and with Lorena. :)

    - American Idol's Fina Four, and my thoughts: Contrary to what most think, I really see it as each person has a 25% chance of winning. It could go for any of them. Chris needs a consistent performance, Taylor as entertaining and vocally-great, Katherine as a great performance, and my bet Elliott to bring the house down with something reminiscent of what Bo Bice and Fantasia Barrino did in their time. If one of them doesn't fulfill it, say bye-bye.

Yes folks, I chose Elliott. Why? Coz he's the best singer in the group. Also, I like the fact that his selling point in getting far would be coz he got there with hardwork. And for me, nothing could be better than seeing someone who works hard achieving great things. I am a firm believer in that. :)

    Til next update then. :)
