[Cr]appy Valentine's Day!
Dude, this day is retarded. I used to like it when I was younger and not yet jaded by the idiocy of boys... Now I hate it cuz it.. well.. sucks. Anyway, last night was pretty fun. Yes, it was the Valentine's banquet, but it actually turned out to be pretty fun! I sat at a table with some good, close friends - Sarah, David, Robbie, Abbie, and my "date" Natalie hehehe. I felt bad for Natalie cuz she left early for some church function, but then she ended up missing it and coming back so she could at least eat, but when she got back the food had already been cleaned up! ;_; And the food was good for once, too! Sad day... Biddy was one of the emcees for the banquet... and both guys weren't funny, but it was so much worse on his end of it, cuz you could tell he was trying way too hard to be funny, and he just WASN'T. All his friends were laughing, but like nobody at my table even smiled... until I turned around and said "wow, that was funny... wait, no... no, it wasn't" - then they laughed lol. Pretty bad when I get more of a reaction than the emcee! Everyone kept telling me how gorgeous I looked (lol, yeah right, people lie a lot around here apparently) but when I get my pictures developed and scanned, you'll be able to see for yourself. I was so excited, cuz my timing was perfect when I "went to the bathroom" cuz Josh walked out of the room to the side (he was waiting tables for some older people's banquet over there) and walked right by me (so he saw me, yay!). Wait, I haven't told you about him, have I? Holy crap, I'll get back to that then! Anyway, so after the banquet, we all went to Huston dorm's lounge and played Phase 10 until 11 when we had to leave. Natalie didn't stay with us to play though, cuz she went home for the weekend. At 11, Sarah and David went back to their rooms, and Robbie, Abby, and I went into the Lion's Den to watch Drive Me Crazy. Then we watched TV until almost 2. I went into the computer lab and messed around until almost 5, lol. And yet I still got up for brunch today. Why? Let's just say I had motivation.... I was mad last night, though, cuz Jeremy Mattheiss was gonna let me borrow Braveheart for V-day, but he's out of town AND he locked his room door, so no more movie for me! Oh well, I'll borrow some horror movie from someone. I intend to watch a gory flick and drink my sparkling red grape juice to celebrate my loneliness on stupid stupid Valentine's Day. Yay for that.
Okay, so about Josh. You see, I first encountered him when he was working in the kitchen and I was trying to get ice cream. The stupid ice cream was so frozen that I couldn't even get one half decent scoop out of it, no matter how hot I made the scoop itself. MEH! So I was telling one of my friends who was beside me that I needed some muscular football type guy to help me right about now, lol. Well, Josh was bringing out a clean supply of cups nearby and overheard me. He was like "I'm no muscular football type guy, but I can try to help you out." I was all like "thank you ^_^"... and then another time I was despairing cuz they were out of skim milk, and he was like "if you can wait about 5 minutes, I'll bring out some more" and yet again, I was like "okay, thank you ^_^" HEHEHEHEH. So anyway, yeah, when he brought out the new thing of skim milk, I asked him some questions while he worked... from that, I found out that he was, as I had been told by others before, the son of my brother's favorite professor and, until recently, my floor parent. I reminded him who my brother was, and he told me to tell Andy hi, but I haven't talked to him yet, so oh well. Some of my friends were telling me I oughtta go back up to Josh later and be like "yeah, my brother says hi back, and he wants to know how your love life is, like if you have a girlfriend or anything.. ya know..." hahahahaha!! That was Christina S.'s suggestion, and I was cracking up!! but there is NO way. lol Anyway, so like, I wanted to see him again today (cuz he only works on the weekends... friday night to monday afternoon) so I went down there. Only, this time, he'd like start smiling or laughing when he'd look at me. I was like, what the.... I mean, really, why the crap was he laughing at me? Was it cuz I was looking or something? Geez, I dunno... so now I'm all pouty. Being laughed at sucks... oh well, tonight at dinner, the war is on LoL. I'm gonna bring in my army - Christina. hehehe Me and her will solve this one, or she'll at least cheer me up and keep me company in my time of need, lol. I wonder... I think in class tomorrow I'm gonna go up to Dr. Legg and be like, what is up with your son?? heheh Okay, so I think I've finally updated you completely. Or at least I hope. It's laundry/homework time!
