Just got round to watching the series finale. (Hannah, I love you.) Apparently some people didn't approve. But...

HOW CAN YOU DISAPPROVE OF GENE HUNT PUNCHING SATAN IN THE FACE?!

No, seriously. Gene Hunt punched Satan in the face.

That may be the most awesome thing to have happened since Rimmer kneed Death in the testicles. And for once, a weird ontological mystery reaches a conclusion that actually successfully and consistently explains everything.

And I know Gene will get his pint one day.

Some people (including the creator) are apparently thinking about a film. But, honestly... Gene Hunt punched Satan in the face. How the hell can you top that?

All things considered... best grand finale to a series since Blackadder Goes Forth.
