Hakaru and Kristen -closed-
A while after Kristen and Hakaru stopped fighting, they decided to go up to Kristen's room and rest. "You know, I really haven't gotten used to this school yet." As his sister turned to him, she opened up one eye and got up. "Well, you don't exactly have any problem with your black fire. Although you don't really need to be here, I guess it's cool having my big brother around." She smiled and stretched around.
"I did come here for a purpose." Kristen just stayed put and looked over your shoulder. "What do you mean? Tell me, Hakaru." A long uncomfortable silence fell between the two siblings. Then finally, Hakaru spoke up.
"I'm not your brother."
Kristen got back up, the blue streaks in her hair glowing, as well as her eye color changing to a deep and dark blue. "What do you mean?"
Hakaru got up and walked over to Kristen, and took her talisman and his amulet. He put it on top of a dresser. When he got that out of the way, he took out a folded piece of paper. "In fact, I'm not even Hakaru."
The confused girl looked deep into his eyes and took the note. She opened it and read it:
It has time that I have come clean. By the time you receive this, I will be gone. And I will never come back.
"What does this person mean?" Hakaru just turned away, gazing out the window. "Just read it."
The time to unravel the real truth has come, and it will change everything and anything. How you think, how you act, how you feel, everything.
All those images and memories in your head...they were all a lie. Those are images created in your head, and all those times you remembered from your past, your time at the Tower of Fang, your friends and family, they never existed.
Those flashbacks and memories were all created by Jhey-Li. He is my brother,
Kristen thought for a second. If Jhey-Li is Hakaru's brother, then that means... she read on.
...as well as your brother. Jhey-Li, you, and I were all fragments of people who have existed in this world before. Fragments of their mind, spirit, body and soul.
I don't know who, or what, created us. Neither does Jhey-Li.
The story is long, time is short, and there is much more for you to unravel on your own. Please...don't cry, Dearest. Soon, everything will be revealed. And one day, we shall all be together again.
Kristen was more confused than ever. She didn't know how to act, feel, anything. Just like the letter said...
"Hakaru?" She turned to the window, but saw that he was gone. "Hakaru? Hakaru?!
Is this all he came for? Is this all a lie? She didn't know what to do. She didn't know anything anymore.
