    College Rankings
    Mr. Szarek? Yes, Justin.

    Is CCR College ranked? Ranked?

    Ranked. By who?

Anybody. I'm sure it is actually.

    By who? I don't know.

    You don't know? I don't care.

    You don't care? No, I honestly don't.

    Why?

There are 4000 schools available, Justin - provide or take a limited. The big majority - by my imagine - 3971 - have qualified faculty and facilities.

But several have 'more' qualified faculty...

Who frequently don't show undergrads or are training larger classes and have less possiblity to socialize individually.

And several have awesome football packages.

That you won't be capable to play for or can end playing for during which time period they lost container eligibility. Justin, you don't rank issues that are important. And you especially don't create a decision based about which ranking.

I don't understand, Mr. Szarek. Everything gets ranked. Yelp, Google,so. We. Rank. Everything.

We don't rank issues that we really value. Mrs. Jones is the #4 Liberal Arts wife inside Wisconsin this season. Mr. Jones is the #7 Tier Two Husband inside Ohio. We don't rank religions. We don't rank things we really value.

    We shouldn't rank schools.

But how can I know whether CCR U., or other school, is right for me?

Research. Data. Real, tangible information. Do they have my big? What kind of facilities are available in which big? How common is that big at which school? Do they meet my different criteria - such as distance from your home, campus size, campus setting, spiritual affiliation, athletic packages, reasonable chance of accepting me?

And then - VISIT. Internet AND inside individual. Check it out. Use a own eyes and ears. Process the data with a mind and a heart. Can I live here, function here, research here, succeed here for the next 4 years? Is this a spot where I can flourish, grow, mature, develop upon my desires? Do you think that, Justin, a ranking can tell you which?

Mr. Szarek, you're acquiring a little loud...

Oh, sorry, about which, Justin. Do you think that a Mom picked a Dad from a clip ranking?

Uh, I truly question it. I think it included a mixer at a spot called the Dublin Pub.

Justin, I wanted to emphasize which positioning are not the end-all and be-all inside selecting a college. They exist, they can exist for some time time to come. They will help you see potential options. However - in the event you search at them at all - they ought to be forced apart very early in a college look. You've got better tools accessible to you - a eyes, a ears, a own mind, and a own instinct. Trust those. I'm sure pleased Mrs. Szarek did.
