Progress-y Stuff
Managed my second full day at work yesterday. Starting next week, I'm going to work two days a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) in the office, then up it to three (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) as recovery progresses.
Today H and I went for a walk to Waitrose; he goes a little too fast for tortoiselike me, but it wasn't too bad. We dropped in at our local hospice shop on the way and H found me a fabulous pair of brand-new M&S pinkish burgundy chenille gloves with matching scarf for £3 (I was wearing my old cycling gloves because I couldn't find a decent pair of ordinary ones to wear). Brilliant. Saves me having to brave the January sales for a while longer.
My convention/signing event year is shaping up very well already.
So far, my intended meetage includes:
London Super Comic Con
This is the first time I've signed up for a non-SM/ME event, but it gives me the opportunity to meet Stan "The Man" Lee (his first UK visit in about 40 years!), along with various well-known artists, including a couple of artists who've been responsible for some of my favourite comic-related stints over the years: Steve Epting and Ian Churchill. I don't normally geek out over the comic-book side of things, but this time, I'll make an exception.
