    Now some of that was... hmm... I wish.

    I am thinking, Matthew Shepard would much rather be alive today than be an icon.

    I am thinking, I'd much rather be walking than try to bring about some change from a wheelchair. It is only the irony that now I'm in a chair in a practically inaccessible town after being in the Ramp Brigade at my school and just for fun. We were building ramps, got rid of thresholds, plated handles and bars in the homes of people with physical disabilities. That was so much fun. We had such a great crew, we had so much fun just working together. It could have been anything. But it was building ramps. Maybe I jinxed myself.

    I miss doing art with disabled kids. I miss going hiking iwth a group of Down Syndrome scouts.

    I miss handing out Vote for Al Gore flyers. OK, so these days it wold be Kerry/Edwards stuff. How I wish it was Howard Dean's name there.
