HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!
A little late though but I subscribe to the statement of "better late than never". Fits procrastinators like me perfectly.
Its been awhile since I wrote/typed stuff in this place, not that there are much significant happenings in my life so far. A few notable mentions though:
Went to MOS on the 25th of Jan, with Ben, Kelly(who is from NZ) and his other friends. Enjoyed myself there rather loads. MOS, well, is an excellent club, not so much for its music but its decor and carefully themed rooms for different genres of music. What was rather impressive is Smoove and its hard, gritty ghetto set up and the rather old school funk and retrolicious interior of Studio 54. Pure, well, is pure white. Very bright and very not tactical for ugly people...like me, heh heh.
Spent most of my time there at Smoove. The DJ was technically excellent but his music library could do with more buffing up. The Main Arena was playing retro stuffs so Studio 54 was more of a place to chill rather than boogie that night, imho.
Overall a nice night out. Made a friend from NZ and danced with this really hot girl in a skimpy cheongsam top not once but thrice. Looks young and dances rather weird initially though...
Then I fast forward to events yesterday..and what else did I do but go visiting, met up with relatives and collect ang paos, haha~ Met up with my closest cousin, Fran and also, the aunt who took care of me in the day from the formative years for primary 1 to 6. Awww. Heh.
Spent some time looking at venues to mark my 21st birthday. I've decided to really enjoy this birthday as, well, its just not the same. I can't really put such feelings into words now but..yah. Anyhows, finally marked it down to two places. Liquid Room or Club Momo. Liquid Room has yet to get back to me so the tide is turning in favour of Momo. Momo has recommanded their membership in place of an outright reservation as it costs less and sounds more logical, at least in their opinion. But after much weighing of pros and cons..haha, Momo is the way to go, till Liquid Room comes back with their quotations.
That's all for the major happenings in my life for the past week or two. Kinda normal really. A rather lazy and slow today, heading out for a pool session with the 06 guys laters.
I wonder what is gonna happen next. Oh ya...steamboat dinner part 2, heh~
