shutting up and waiting
I'm pulling for a serious moment here. Bear with me.
I was complaining to my best friend the other day because it seems that every guy I've ever wanted ends up with someone else. And because my best friend is always on my side, she calls/concludes every single one of the women of ill-repute and the guys lacking in taste and working brain cells. More often that not, her pronouncements end up being hilariously true and I'm never around long enough to appreciate the results because I'd have moved on to someone else. My life is vicious cycle.
I think Roxy finally got pissed at me because she gave me a lecture and basically told me to shut up and wait.
Makes sense, now that my brain has finally gotten around to processing the words. MAYBE the world really has surpises in store for me. Good surprises. And maybe the other guys teaming up with less-than-stellar examples of the female species is the world's way of telling me that those people were not really what I deserved or needed.
Life + fate + your best friend teaches you lessons that aren't exactly kind, but damn, they work.
