let me sleep all night in your soul kitchen
Where do I begiiiiin? The concert was wicked...the intro was just...agh. Powerful & heavy, ah. Ian Astbury [sexysexysexy] sounded SO MUCH like Jim..it was crazy. He had the whole sexy hair thing going on...and he would crouch down before he'd sing, and dance around...he was the essence of Jim. And Ray Manzarek...wow. He rocked out. Hardcore. There is no other way around it...I was in complete awe. Robby Krieger tore it up, man. During "Light My Fire" they expanded the instrumental break & he played a few different tunes, while staying with the tempo. He snuck a little "Eleanor Rigby" in there, which was pretty cool. If I ever had a doubt about my love of guitars, they vanished tonight. There was so much talent upon that stage. And we can't forget John Densmore...he was also amazing, too bad he could't have been there, from what i've read, he had a lawsuit against Robby for even touring. [edited the day after because i was dumb & didn't say it when i first wrote this] 2 encores. Damn...my first real rock concert. Tonight was one to remember.
