Today was field trip day! I woke up at 8:20 and scrambled to get dressed, hair washed and lunch packed. Then I made my way for the school. Ah, I was so happy to be going on a field trip. Anyway, the bus came and we got on it, then drove for about, 20-25 minutes to the dairy farm. Woot! We got to see them being milked and we were even allowed to pet them. Sarah and I found a cow at the beginning of the barn who was laying down and she was almost falling asleep while we were petting her. One of the cows were giving birth but she was three weeks early and the calf was dead. Then she was having another one (twins!) and they had to get the vet. He came and had to break the water of the other calf (which was also dead) and pull it out of the cow. Then he had to do something to one of the udders of another cow. I won a cow t-shirt. I shall take a picture of it later. Afterwards we were given milk and donuts and then we headed back to school. Everybody smelled like cow when we got back
