    An Overview of Prince2 Courses
Prince2 Training is preferred in a wide range of industries, not only in the UK but in other countries as well. The reason for this is that Prince2 is seen as the standard way of project management in businesses of all types.

Prince2 began as an IT-specific project management system. It has its origins around the late 1980s. prince2 courses Despite these more narrow beginnings, Prince2 training soon spread to areas outside of the IT world, since it was realised that it could be applied far more broadly than its original founders had intended.

It is the actual standard that is used by the UK Government. Prince2 training is therefore invaluable because it instructs an individual in a well-known set of protocols which, while standard and documented, are also flexible and can be adapted to the circumstances of the project in hand.
One of the main advantages of Prince2 is that it can be used on both large projects and small projects.
However, at times it is not worth making use of Prince2 with very small projects because of the amount of work required in checking processes. It was however made to tailor to every project.
The most recent iteration and changes for Prince2 training occurred in 2009, updating it for the modern business environment, simplifying it and addressing potential weaknesses or areas of misunderstanding in the former version.
The idea is that it focuses on processes (which sets it apart from other project management methods), giving clarity for the project in terms of who is responsible for what, and when and how different goals need to be met.

The advantages of Prince2 training are numerous. The project management training itself is the first major benefit. Being a project leader will enable you to manage a project more efficiently. With Prince2 training, you will also learn to deal with any problems whenever they occur.

The methodology is well -known, therefore it provides a language which is common regarding the project. This is important when there are other businesses involved.

Its popularity is a result of being well documented, which is why the training itself is comparatively easy. Although Prince2 is being implemented by industries, training in this revolutionary project management system is now conducted across the globe.

Those with some project management experience may find it possible to study without formally enrolling in a course; however, the qualifying exams still need to be entered and passed.

Regarding the exams, there is a one hour multiple choice exam which is for the Foundation level. There is also a two and a half hour essay based exam. This one is written for the Practitioner level. The Association of Project Management administers the exams.

Organizations offering Prince2 training must be accredited by the Project Management Association. This ensures that training quality is uniform and of the highest standards. Every trainer is also required to renew his or her accreditation every three years as well as receive yearly checks.

A practitioner who manages to qualify after the Prince2 training has to be re-accredited every five years. This is done by writing a short one hour exam.
