Camp went well today, and was rather relaxing actually. Bible study was okay, I taught the lesson and we worked on the books of the Bible. I didn't get to work with them like I wanted too though because we couldn't split them up into groups. Anyway we got through some more of the Old Testament, Joe, Songs, Problems to be exact...we're working on it though.
On Thursdays we order from Ken's and another counselor takes the kids orders in the morning. I normally try to help them hand out the food at lunch, but it drives me crazy because it's VERY unorganized. Well, today Rach and I were the only girl counselors there for lunch, so we got to give out the lunches. It was so much better. The problem is also in the way the orders are taken though. There are three groups at camp and that's how they come to get their food, but the orders aren't taken by group they're just randomly written down. Also, we had a few kids today get the wrong thing because it was written down wrong. SO, I got to use excel, yay, and I made a nice little spreadsheet. It totals the orders and gives the amount we should have so there's no wondering how much money we should have blah, blah, blah. It's color coded for the groups too!
Since it's fairly warm in the gym and we didn't have any major activities for the kids to do today we watched two movies in the youth suite (it's air conditioner works). I haven't seen space jam and the lion king in forever, they were good. I did take a little nap during space jam, eh oh well. I saw another movie tonight with Jennifer, her friend, a guy from their program and Rach. We went to see wedding crashers, I thought it was very funny...a little raunchy I guess you could say, but still good. I'm pretty sure Jennifer thought it was appalling for the most part, but eh. Sadly though I paid with my debit card because I didn't feel like looking for the 0.75 that I didn't think I had. Well, they charged a fee for using a debit card and I ended up paying 8.50ish for the movie instead of 7.75 which was bad enough. I don't think it was worth that much, but eh, it was a funny movie.
