Writing
I love to write, whether it be journaling, blogging, letters or articles. I've written two long, boring, professional journal articles which are posted online. One is about Anorexia Nervosa, the other is about Bulemia, both affecting countless people who struggle with body image issues. I'm very proud of them and enjoyed writing them so much! They will need revision soon and I'm looking forward to that as well. I should write a couple more, as you make more in royalties the first few months after they're published. I'm going to use a more reader-friendly style with the next ones I write. I have several planned out. I want to cover topics such as neuroleptic malignant syndrome, with a special feature on occulogyric crisis. I've seen neuroleptic malignant syndrome and it's scary. The medical director commended us for handling it well. She said if the patient had been in the ICU instead of a psych unit, she would have died, because it would have taken the staff too long to figure out what was wrong. On a psych unit, you're always watching for it...always dreading it! Thank God I've never seen occulogyric crisis (knock wood). I also really love writing to my friends and family. I have two or three new pen-friends and am eager to start writing them snail mail. I'm a little OCD about cards and stationery. I love them. I like to use different kinds, so I have a lot of it.
